What is Catalog To Music?
Catalog To Music is a Toronto-based online specialist in new, sealed
audiophile-grade physical media. We curate 180g and 200g vinyl pressings,
CDs, and Blu-ray titles for serious collectors — with a focus on quality
pressing labels including QRP (Quality Record Pressings), Mobile Fidelity
Sound Lab (MoFi), Analogue Productions, and Music On Vinyl. Every order
ships worldwide from Toronto, Canada.
What makes Catalog To Music different from other Canadian record stores?
Unlike general record stores that mix new and used titles across all
formats, Catalog To Music stocks exclusively new, sealed audiophile
pressings. Every title is selected for pressing quality, mastering source,
and collectibility. If you are looking for the best available pressing of
a specific album, this is what we do.
Orders & Payment
Do I need an account to order?
No account needed. You can check out as a guest, or create an account to
track your orders and speed up future purchases.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American
Express), Apple Pay, and Shop Pay. All transactions are fully secured
through Shopify Payments.
How do I use a discount code?
Enter your code at checkout in the "Discount code" field and click Apply.
One code per order. Codes cannot be applied after an order is placed.
Can I modify or cancel my order after placing it?
Orders are processed quickly after confirmation. If you need to make a
change, email us immediately.
We will do our best to assist, but cannot guarantee amendments once
fulfilment has begun. Please review your cart carefully before
completing your purchase.
Are prices in Canadian Dollars?
Yes. All prices are in CAD by default. You may switch the display currency
using the selector in the navigation bar. Your card will be charged in CAD —
your bank applies the applicable exchange rate.
Products & Authenticity
Are your products genuine and officially licensed?
Absolutely. Every item is an official, legitimate pressing sourced from
authorised distributors. We guarantee 100% authentic products —
no bootlegs, no counterfeits, no grey-market imports.
Are all items brand new and sealed?
Yes. All products are brand new and factory sealed unless explicitly
stated otherwise in the product listing.
What does 180g vinyl mean?
180-gram vinyl is heavier and denser than standard pressings. It produces
superior sound quality with reduced surface noise, is more resistant to
warping, and allows the stylus to track grooves more accurately.
180g is the recognised audiophile standard for reissue pressings.
Can I pre-order upcoming releases?
We occasionally carry pre-orders for upcoming titles.
Email us if you're looking
for a specific upcoming release and we will advise on availability.
Will my order include a printed receipt showing the price?
No. Order confirmations and receipts are sent by email only — nothing is
printed inside the package. This makes our orders suitable as gifts.
Shipping & Delivery
Where do you ship to?
We currently ship to Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom,
Australia, and New Zealand. If you're located outside these regions and
would like to place an order, we'd love to hear from you.

How long will my order take?
Orders are processed within 2–5 business days, then dispatched.
Estimated delivery times from date of dispatch:
- Canada: 3–5 business days
- United States: 3–8 business days
- United Kingdom: 4–8 business days
- Australia: 9–13 days (Standard) / 4 days (Express)
- New Zealand: 7–14 days (Standard) / 1–2 days (Express)
These are estimates only. Delays caused by customs, public holidays, or carriers are outside our control.
How is my vinyl protected during shipping?
Every order is packed with rigid reinforced cardboard mailers, corner
stiffeners, protective inner wrapping for CDs and Blu-ray, and clear
fragile labelling. We do not compromise on packaging.
How do I track my order?
A tracking number will be emailed to you once your order has been dispatched.
Customs, Duties & Import Taxes
Will I be charged import duties or customs fees?
All prices on our site do not include import duties, VAT, GST, or other
taxes that may be levied by your country. These charges are the buyer's
sole responsibility. We recommend checking with your local customs office
before ordering if you are unsure.
What are typical customs thresholds I should know about?
- United States: As of August 2025, all commercial imports are subject to customs assessment regardless of order value.
- United Kingdom: Import VAT (20%) applies to orders over GBP £135.
- European Union: VAT applies to all orders regardless of value.
- Australia: GST (10%) applies to all imported goods.
- Hong Kong: No import duty or VAT on most personal goods.
Always verify with your local customs authority — thresholds are subject to change.
Will you mark my order as a "Gift" or under-declare the value?
No. We declare all shipments accurately and at full value.
Under-declaring is illegal and we will not do so under any circumstances.
DVD & Blu-ray Regional Compatibility
What region are your DVDs and Blu-ray discs?
Most of our disc inventory is sourced from North American releases
(DVD Region 1 / Blu-ray Region A) unless otherwise stated in the product
listing. It is the buyer's responsibility to confirm regional compatibility
before purchasing. We cannot accept returns for regional incompatibility.

Returns & Refunds
What is your return policy?
All sales are final. We do not accept returns for change of mind or
purchases made in error. Please review all product details carefully
before purchasing. For full details, please refer to our
Refund Policy page.
What if my order arrives damaged?
Contact us within 48 hours of delivery at
info@catalogtm.com with your
order number and clear photographs of the outer packaging and item.
Do not discard the original packaging. Claims submitted without
photographic evidence or after 48 hours cannot be considered.
What if I receive a defective item?
Contact us within 7 days of delivery with a short video showing the
defect during playback and your turntable make and model. Minor surface
noise, light static, and slight sleeve imperfections are inherent to
physical media and are not considered defects.
Can I return an opened item?
No. Any media that has been opened or had its shrink wrap removed is
strictly non-returnable, with no exceptions.
