HITnRUN Phase Two is the 39th and final studio album released by Prince during his lifetime, originally released December 12, 2015 via NPG Records (exclusively on Tidal, just months after HITnRUN Phase One). In contrast to Phase One’s concise, digitally-driven approach, Phase Two leans into funk, soul, and rock with longer arrangements and a more organic, performance-led sound. Includes some of Prince’s most direct late-period statements: Baltimore (a tribute to Freddie Gray and commentary on police violence), Rocknroll Loveaffair, and Stare. 12 tracks. First time available on vinyl in this 10th Anniversary pressing.
