America is the self-titled debut studio album by British-American folk rock group America (Gerry Beckley, Dewey Bunnell, and Dan Peek), originally released January 1972 via Warner Bros. Records. The album features the global hit single A Horse with No Name, which reached #1 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 1973. 12 tracks. The album was recorded in the UK, where the trio — all sons of American servicemen based in England — first formed.
