About This Album

Billy Strings' Renewal on vinyl 2LP (Rounder Records, 2021). The Michigan guitarist's most ambitious set stretches sixteen songs from bluegrass into heavy metal, jam-band and psychedelic territory, with Red Daisy, Hellbender and the nine-minute Hide and Seek. Co-produced with Jonathan Wilson at Nashville's Sound Emporium, it hit number one on the Billboard Bluegrass Albums chart and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Bluegrass Album. An expansive double album from a generational picker at full flight.
