Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath [180g Vinyl LP]
Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath [180g Vinyl LP]
The album that invented heavy metal — Black Sabbath's self-titled debut on 180-gram vinyl LP. Released on Friday the 13th, 1970, Black Sabbath introduced the world to Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward — and permanently changed the sound of rock music. Iommi's dark, down-tuned riffs, inspired partly by a factory accident that damaged his fingertips, created a sonic blueprint that entire genres have followed ever since.
From the tolling bell and rain of the opening title track to the occult imagery of N.I.B., this is a record of genuine menace and power. Reissued via BMG / Sanctuary Records on audiophile-grade 180g vinyl.
