About This Album

Blur’s Modern Life Is Rubbish on transparent orange vinyl 2LP (Parlophone, 2023) is the 30th anniversary reissue of the 1993 album that fired the starting gun on Britpop. It includes For Tomorrow, Chemical World, Sunday Sunday and Star Shaped, Damon Albarn’s Kinks- and Small Faces-inspired reinvention after the Leisure backlash, dressed up with brass, woodwind and backing vocalists. Peaking at UK #15, the record set up Parklife and The Great Escape and defined the era’s guitar-pop sound. This limited transparent-orange pressing was issued for National Album Day 2023.
