About This Album

Bob Dylan & The Band's The Basement Tapes on 2LP (Columbia, 2017 reissue) brings the 1967 Woodstock sessions back to vinyl. Originally released by Columbia in 1975, the 24-track double album gathers the loose, inventive home recordings Dylan made with The Band at Big Pink. Key tracks include Million Dollar Bash, This Wheel's on Fire, Odds and Ends and You Ain't Goin' Nowhere, songs that have since become Americana cornerstones. A landmark of the singer-songwriter era and an essential piece of Dylan's catalogue.
