About This Album

Devin Townsend’s The Moth is the Vancouver-based progressive-metal polymath’s 29th studio album, presented here as a Limited Deluxe 3CD + Blu-ray Artbook released May 29, 2026 via Inside Out Music / Century Media. Described as his most ambitious work to date — a decade-plus in the making, an immersive orchestral, choral and theatrical rock opera — it features the North Netherlands Orchestra and Choir alongside long-time collaborators Darby Todd, Mike Keneally and James Leach, with guests including Steve Vai, Anneke van Giersbergen and Lynn Wu (OU).

About This Edition

⚠️ Format note: this is 3 CDs plus 1 Blu-ray (four discs in total, not four CDs). Housed in a 10-inch hardcover artbook with a 38-page booklet and a 6-panel fold-out. CD 1 is the main album; CD 2, The Moth – The Afterlife, is a redux version for orchestra and choir only; CD 3, The Moth – The War (Live), is a new mix of the world-premiere live performance in Groningen, Netherlands (March 2025). The Blu-ray contains the full The War live concert film plus Dolby Atmos and hi-res stereo mixes of The Moth and The Afterlife. Note: the Blu-ray requires a Blu-ray player; the label does not state a region code, so please confirm player compatibility for overseas delivery. Limited edition — the large artbook format is heavier and bulkier to ship.
