About This Album

Dire Straits's Brothers In Arms on vinyl LP (UMR, 2025 40th-anniversary edition) revives the 1985 classic in original configuration. The album spent 14 non-consecutive weeks at Number 1 on the UK Albums Chart, is the 8th album in UK chart history, earning multiple Grammys and the BRIT Award for Best British Album. Key tracks include Money For Nothing — with Sting's 'I want my MTV' hook — Walk Of Life, So Far Away and Brothers In Arms. Produced by Mark Knopfler and Neil Dorfsman, this edition mirrors the 1985 pressing, where four tracks were abridged to fit the single LP, unreissued in this form since 1985.
