About This Album

Donny Hathaway's Live on 180g vinyl LP (Rhino, 2026, Rhino Reserve reissue). Recorded in 1971 at The Troubadour in Hollywood and The Bitter End in New York, the set captures eight tracks of soul, funk and jazz-tinged live performance. It opens with his reading of Marvin Gaye's What's Goin' On, stretches The Ghetto past twelve minutes and Voices Inside (Everything Is Everything) past thirteen, and saves his take on John Lennon's Jealous Guy for side two. This Rhino Reserve edition is cut from the original analog stereo master by Matthew Lutthans at The Mastering Lab and pressed on 180-gram vinyl at Fidelity Record Pressing in Oxnard, California.
