Eminem - The Slim Shady LP [2LP]
Eminem - The Slim Shady LP [2LP]
Eminem's second studio album and major label debut on 180-gram double vinyl LP — the reissue pressed on heavyweight vinyl with plain white inner sleeves. The Slim Shady LP (February 23, 1999) was the recording that transformed Eminem from a Detroit underground rapper into a global superstar. Produced primarily by Dr. Dre and the Bass Brothers, the album debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 and is certified 4× Platinum in the US. It won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album and was ranked #273 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
The album introduced Eminem's alter ego Slim Shady — a vehicle for pitch-black humour, transgressive storytelling, and lyrical acrobatics that immediately provoked both controversy and widespread acclaim. Features My Name Is, Guilty Conscience (feat. Dr. Dre), '97 Bonnie & Clyde, Role Model, Rock Bottom, My Fault, and Bad Meets Evil (feat. Royce da 5'9").
