About This Album

Eminem's second studio album and major label debut, originally released in 1999. The recording that transformed Eminem from a Detroit underground rapper into a global superstar. Produced primarily by Dr. Dre and the Bass Brothers. The album introduced Eminem's alter ego Slim Shady — a vehicle for pitch-black humour, transgressive storytelling, and lyrical acrobatics that immediately provoked both controversy and widespread acclaim.
