About This Album

George Thorogood & The Destroyers is the self-titled debut studio album by George Thorogood & The Destroyers, originally released in 1977 via Rounder Records. When Thorogood and the Delaware Destroyers burst onto the national scene, roots rock was all but absent from contemporary radio. Their hard-rocking rhythm 'n' blues — in the style of Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, John Lee Hooker, and Elmore James — was undeniable. 10 tracks including the blues standard One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer (originally by John Lee Hooker).
