About This Album

Gregory Alan Isakov's The Weatherman on 180g Black Vinyl LP (Suitcase Town Music, 2013) is the Colorado songwriter's quietly devastating third full-length. Highlights include Amsterdam, Saint Valentine, Suitcase Full of Sparks and Time Will Tell, recorded with analogue gear and mixed to tape outside Nederland, Colorado for a raw, vulnerable warmth. Co-produced with Jamie Mefford, it cemented Isakov's reputation as a modern folk master — the same pen that later earned a Grammy nomination for Evening Machines.
