About This Album

The Jimi Hendrix Experience's Live At Monterey on 200-gram vinyl LP (Legacy, 2014, Record Store Day audiophile edition). Highlights include Killing Floor, Foxey Lady and the incendiary Purple Haze, plus a transformative take on Bob Dylan's Like A Rolling Stone. The set closes with Wild Thing, the show-ending number where Hendrix set his guitar ablaze. Recorded on June 18, 1967, this mythic US debut launched the Experience into superstardom. Mastered all-analogue by Bernie Grundman and pressed by Quality Record Pressings on 200-gram vinyl, each copy is individually numbered.
