About This Album

Joni Mitchell's Hejira on black vinyl LP (Rhino, 2024) is the 2024 remaster of her 1976 folk-jazz — RIAA Gold in the US and a fixture of Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. Highlights include Coyote, Amelia, the title track and Song for Sharon, written on the road during 1975–76, including stints on Bob Dylan's Rolling Thunder Revue, and buoyed by Jaco Pastorius' fretless bass. This standalone remaster was cut by Bernie Grundman under Joni Mitchell's supervision as part of the Asylum Albums (1976–1980) campaign.
