Bush’s first album released on her own Novercia label, giving her full creative and financial control. The album debuted at #1 on the UK Albums Chart, certified Platinum in the UK. Produced entirely by Kate Bush. The album is structured in two conceptual halves: Side A (“The Hounds of Love”) features the radio-friendly singles, while Side B (“The Ninth Wave”) is a seamless song cycle exploring themes of consciousness and survival. Received widespread renewed attention following its use in the Netflix series Stranger Things (2022). 11 tracks. Features collaborators John Williams, Eberhard Weber, Michael Kamen, and Bill Whelan.
