About This Album

A poetic journey through the world of the Moomins by Finnish composer Lauri Porra — great-grandson of Jean Sibelius — on a limited zoetrope picture disc vinyl LP. Composed to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the first Moomin story by Tove Jansson, featuring 21 atmospheric instrumental pieces for piano, string ensemble, and natural soundscapes.

Includes 4 exclusive postcards and 2 high-quality lithographs featuring Moomin artwork. The zoetrope effect creates the illusion of animation when the record spins. Released via Sony Classical, June 2025.
