Metallica's seventh studio album on CD — the Blackened Recordings 2013 reissue with audio identical to the 1997 Elektra counterpart. ReLoad (November 18, 1997) was originally released as a companion to Load (1996), sharing the same recording sessions at The Plant in Sausalito and the same production team of James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, and Bob Rock. While both albums divided opinion among thrash-era fans, ReLoad topped the Billboard 200 and sold over 11 million copies worldwide.
