About This Box Set

This is Volume 4 of Neil Young’s Archives Official Release Series, a numbered limited edition 4LP box set released April 29, 2022 via Reprise Records. The set continues the chronological re-releasing of Young’s official catalogue, remastered from analog tapes where available, and presents four albums that bookend the 1982–1987 period when Neil recorded for Geffen Records (hence the non-sequential disc numbers):

• ORS 13 — Hawks & Doves (1980) — first official vinyl release
• ORS 14 — Re·ac·tor (with Crazy Horse, 1981) — first official vinyl release
• ORS 20 — This Note’s for You (1988) — first official vinyl release
• ORS 21 — Eldorado (EP, 1989) — first official vinyl release
