About This Album

The soundtrack that brought American roots music to a new generation. O Brother, Where Art Thou? (2000) was produced by T Bone Burnett and won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year — a rare achievement for a film soundtrack. It spent an extraordinary 64 weeks on the Billboard 200 and is certified 8× Platinum in the US.

Featuring performances by Alison Krauss, Emmylou Harris, Gillian Welch, Ralph Stanley, and the Soggy Bottom Boys, the record features Appalachian folk, bluegrass, gospel, and Depression-era country. I Am a Man of Constant Sorrow became a genuine radio hit, introducing millions to the raw power of old-time American music. Released via Mercury / Lost Highway Records.
