The Great Southern Trendkill is the eighth studio album by American groove metal band Pantera, originally released May 7, 1996 via Elektra / East West Records. Produced by Terry Date and Vinnie Paul. Recorded at Chasin’ Jason Studios (Texas) and Nothing Studios (New Orleans). Debuted at #4 on the Billboard 200 and stayed on the chart for 16 weeks. Phil Anselmo recorded his vocals separately in New Orleans due to personal issues. 9 tracks (53:05) including Drag the Waters, Suicide Note Pt. II, Floods, and the title track.
Note: This single LP pressing omits "Suicide Note Pt. I" and the outro guitar solo from "Floods" due to runtime constraints. The original album is 10 tracks on CD.
