Paul McCartney & Wings' third studio album and McCartney's most celebrated post-Beatles work on 180-gram vinyl LP, remastered at Abbey Road Studios. Band on the Run (1973) was recorded under extraordinary circumstances in Lagos, Nigeria, after two key band members quit days before departure, leaving McCartney, Linda, and Denny Laine to make the album largely as a trio.
The result was a creative triumph — a #1 album in both the UK and US and Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Performance by a Duo, Group or Chorus. This Capitol 2017 pressing includes the original poster and a limited time MP3 download card. Made in Germany.
