About This Album

To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Paul McCartney & Wings' Band on the Run (1973), this edition is cut at half speed by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios using a high-resolution transfer of the original 1973 master tapes. This special edition uses the US tracklist, which includes Helen Wheels — making it a 10-track edition. Recorded in Lagos, Nigeria under extraordinary circumstances, Band on the Run became a defining album of Paul McCartney's post-Beatles career.
