About This Album

Pink Floyd’s At Pompeii – MCMLXXII on DVD (Pink Floyd Records / Legacy Recordings, May 2, 2025) returns Adrian Maben’s groundbreaking 1972 concert film to the screen in a restored edition. Filmed among the ruins of the ancient Roman amphitheatre in Pompeii, the performances place Echoes, One of These Days and Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun in an unusually intimate setting. The film is restored from the original 35mm cut negative, with audio newly mixed by Steven Wilson, and includes behind-the-scenes footage of the band beginning work on The Dark Side of the Moon at Abbey Road Studios.
