Far is the fifth studio album by American singer-songwriter Regina Spektor, originally released in 2009 via Sire Records — the follow-up to her breakthrough Begin to Hope (2006). On Far, Spektor invited four esteemed producers — Jeff Lynne (ELO), Mike Elizondo, David Kahne, and Garret “Jacknife” Lee — to collaborate on intricate and adventurous soundscapes for her songs. Blends anti-folk, chamber pop, and indie pop with Spektor’s signature playful, literate songwriting. Includes Eet, Laughing With, Two Birds, Dance Anthem of the 80’s, and The Calculation. 13 tracks.
