About This Album

Immerse yourself in a sonic landscape that defied the boundaries of rock. Talk Talk's Laughing Stock, originally released in 1991, is an exploration of space, silence, and profound musical texture. This 2016 vinyl reissue brings the hauntingly beautiful vision of Mark Hollis to life with exceptional analog warmth.

Widely regarded as one of the birthplaces of post-rock, Laughing Stock is an album that demands to be heard on vinyl. From the explosive dynamics of "Ascension Day" to the delicate, improvisational jazz influences of "After the Flood," every second of this recording was captured with meticulous detail. This 2016 Polydor Reissue ensures that the intricate layers of organ, percussion, and Hollis’s fragile vocals remain crisp and immersive. Whether you are an audiophile looking to test your system or a fan of avant-garde rock, this pressing offers an immersive listening experience.
