About This Album

Talking Heads's Little Creatures on black vinyl LP (Sire Records, 2023, back-on-vinyl reissue). Highlights include the joyous And She Was, the brass-driven The Lady Don't Mind, the lullaby-like Stay Up Late and the career-defining closer Road to Nowhere. The band's sixth studio album was voted 1985 album of the year in the Village Voice Pazz & Jop critics poll and remains their studio set at over two million copies. Self-produced after the Brian Eno years, it traded afro-funk for Americana-flavoured pop, with steel guitar colouring the sound. The cover art by outsider artist Howard Finster was named album cover of the year by Rolling Stone.
