About This Album

Tentative Decisions: Demos & Live, released March 6, 2026, is a 50th-anniversary archival deep dive into the original trio — David Byrne, Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth — before Jerry Harrison joined in 1977. CD 1 gathers September 1975 and 1976 demos plus the earliest known recordings: 1974 apartment tapes by The Artistics (Byrne and Frantz's RISD college band). CD 2 is the first official release of the September 1975 CBS/Columbia demo session. CD 3 captures the trio live at Max's Kansas City (1976), the Jabberwocky Club, Syracuse (1977) and the Lower Manhattan Ocean Club (1976). 45 tracks total.
