About This Album

The Allman Brothers Band's At Fillmore East on double vinyl LP. Recorded live at New York's Fillmore East in 1971, the album captures the band — Duane Allman, Dickey Betts, Gregg Allman, Berry Oakley, Butch Trucks, and Jai Johanny Johanson — at their peak: six musicians operating as a seamless unit, blending Southern rock muscle with blues-based improvisation and jazz-like interplay.

At Fillmore East is renowned for the duelling lead guitars of Duane Allman and Dickey Betts, and the long-form instrumental performances that set the standard for live rock recording. Features Statesboro Blues, Stormy Monday, You Don't Love Me / Soul Serenade, Whipping Post, In Memory of Elizabeth Reed, and Mountain Jam.
