The Last Waltz is the live album documenting The Band’s farewell concert, held on Thanksgiving Day November 25, 1976 at Winterland Ballroom, San Francisco, produced by Robbie Robertson. Originally released April 7, 1978 via Warner Bros. Records. The concert—simultaneously a formal dinner for 5,000 guests and a who’s who of rock royalty—featured guest appearances by Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Eric Clapton, Van Morrison, Joni Mitchell, Muddy Waters, Emmylou Harris, Dr. John, Ringo Starr, Ron Wood, Neil Diamond, Ronnie Hawkins, Paul Butterfield, and The Staple Singers. Directed on film by Martin Scorsese. 30 tracks.
