About This Album

Sam's Town is The Killers' second studio album, originally released in 2006. The Las Vegas band's heartland rock statement, produced by Flood (New Order, U2) and Alan Moulder (Nine Inch Nails, Foo Fighters) alongside the band. Influenced by U2, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, and ELO, the album contains some of The Killers' most enduring tracks: When You Were Young, Read My Mind, Bones, For Reasons Unknown, Bling (Confession of a King), and This River Is Wild. Brandon Flowers named the album after the Sam's Town Hotel and Gambling Hall, visible from bandmate Mark Stoermer's childhood bedroom window.
