About This Album

U2's War on 180g black vinyl LP (Island, 2008, remastered edition) is the 2008 Bernie Grundman remaster of the album that made them stars. Highlights include Sunday Bloody Sunday, New Year's Day, Two Hearts Beat As One and Drowning Man. The original knocked Michael Jackson's Thriller off the UK No. 1 spot — U2's first chart-topper. Produced by Steve Lillywhite, the album's martial drums and The Edge's delay-soaked guitars remain as urgent as ever. This edition restores the gatefold sleeve with new liner notes and unseen photos.
