About This Album

The Velvet Underground's fourth and final studio album featuring Lou Reed on vinyl LP. Loaded (1970) was designed explicitly to be a commercially accessible record — and it succeeded brilliantly, featuring some of the band's most hook-laden and joyful writing. Though it arrived too late to save the band from commercial obscurity, it contains two of rock's most enduring songs.

Features Sweet Jane and Rock and Roll — songs that have been covered countless times and remain absolutely. Released via Cotillion / Atlantic Records. Reissued via Rhino.
