Willie Colón / Rubén Blades - Siembra [180g Vinyl LP]
Willie Colón / Rubén Blades - Siembra [180g Vinyl LP]
One of the greatest and most influential Latin music albums of all time on 180-gram vinyl LP — the first-ever all-analog (AAA) remaster, sourced directly from the original tapes. Siembra (1978) was the second of four landmark collaborations between trombonist-bandleader Willie Colón and singer-songwriter Rubén Blades on Fania Records — and set the salsa world on fire, becoming one of the best-selling salsa albums in history. Inducted into the Latin Grammy Hall of Fame.
Mastered all-analog by Dave Cooley at Elysian Masters and pressed on 180-gram audiophile vinyl at Memphis Record Pressing (MRP). Features Pedro Navaja (Blades' nine-minute masterpiece based on a Mack the Knife-style street narrative), Plástico, Buscando Guayaba, María Lionza, Ojos, Dime, and Siembra. Released via Craft Recordings / Fania Records, August 20, 2021.
